We definitely learned a lot about our topic. We imagined the teamwork to be easier. Since this project is very important to us, we wanted to invest a lot of time. But the project isn't that important for our collaborations partner, that is why they sometimes needed very long to answer. We learned a lot of new things about the ecological building and we had very good conversations.
We realised that many factors contribute to building ecologically. The cost and time aspect is also in the foreground in ecological building.
We are very satisfied with our project and we have met great new people and established a super collaboration with them. It was also very exciting that these collaborations go beyond our own country and that we can compare two countries.

Our plan for today is to finish the project bubbles, do Task 13 and evaluate and write down the audio files from our Spanish partner. The interview with our collaboration partner is very exciting so we want to pick out the most important elements. We also want to focus on the numbers/prices of the ecological houses today.
Achivements:
- Task 13
- Task 11
- Project Bubbles
- Audio files bearbeitet
- wrote Interview down
We are very happy that we have achieved more than we wanted, thanks to concentrated and speedy work.

We have analysed our survey results and have produced the following diagrams;
Auswertung Ökologisches Bauen.pdf (954,99 kb)
We are surprised that many of the participants do not know what is meant by ecological building. However, the interest or the will to build more ecologically is there. The survey has shown us that many have already dealt with this.

Kerstin and Elena's target from 04.02.2022:
Todays goal is to send the interview questions to our collaboration partner in Spain. He will send the answers back in a memo. We also want to analyse and summarise the answers from the architect in Switzerland. After that we will start to analyse the survey answers and create diagrams of the answers.
Our flight altitude is variable and can be from 3 metres up to 10000 metres. Mainly we are over Spain and Switzerland. At the altitude of 3 metres, we specialise in our collaboration partners and take a closer look at the construction methods in the countries. At the 10000 metres, we compare the countries and their construction methods.

Our focus in calendar week 5 is on the flight altitude of 3 - 1000 metres. Close cooperation with our collaboration partners is especially important in the near future.

We have already looked at the 5 R's in our short presentation. Now, in form of a speedy post, we would like to briefly introduce them to you again. According to the 5 R system, four actions should be taken, if possible before recycling. Our natural resources, such as minerals, land, air and water, are being depleted and degraded at an ever faster pace. What can we do to save and protect our resources?
Cars can convey a sense of freedom and movement, not to mention style and status. But they also can have a big impact on the planet.

Cars consume a lot of energy before they ever make it to the open road. Automotive production leaves a giant footprint because materials like steel, rubber, glass, plastics, paints, and many more must be created before a new ride is ready to roll. Similarly, the end of a car’s life doesn’t mark the end of its environmental impact. Plastics, toxic battery acids, and other products may stay in the environment.
The good news;
We need to move away from fossil fuelled cars. Some countries have made major progress on the use of electrified cars. In Norway, 56% of new cars sold in 2019 were electric. Cars are also one of the most recycled products in the world - about 85% of all the materials are reused. Other industries could learn much from this.

Is overpopulation really one of the environmental problems of our time? Is our earth overpopulated at all? Question after Question. Overpopulation, is simply a situation where too many people live in a location than space, economic and natural resources can sustain. This means it is not just a specific number, but a relationship between the inhabitants and the resources available.

Some people believe that overpopulation isn't a bad thing, because the earth has enough resources. Others believe that as populations expand, there will come a time that the resources on earth can simply not last for everyone. Unfortunately, humans take out more from the earth than they give back in the form of recycling, reusing and reducing our dependence on new raw materials. We do not plant more trees than we cut and that thinking is certainly what will create problems.
Causes:
- People get older
- Better Medical facilities
Effects:
- reduction of natural resources
- destruction of environment
- Wars
- Pandemics
- faster clima change
People also cause less harm if they are not overconsuming resources. Creating policies that benefit the environment and showing people that they need to waste less will help to protect the limited resources that we do still have. The richest people on the planet are consuming far more than their fair share, causing huge imbalance in the resources available to all.
